Surprise Your Valentine With This 6-Ingredient Molten Chocolate Cake
Whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day or Galentine’s Day, it’s the perfect holiday to try your hand at making a drool-worthy molten chocolate cake. Requiring only six ingredients, most of which you probably have lying around anyway, it produces tasty results with minimal effort. Your date will definitely be impressed! Pair it with a piping hot cup of coffee and prepare to be in a chocolate-induced food coma.
Ingredients:
— 100 grams of bittersweet chocolate, broken into chunks (1 bar)
— 1 stick unsalted butter
— 2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
— 1/4 teaspoon salt
— 3 eggs
— 1/3 cup granulated sugar
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. In a small saucepan, heat the chocolate and butter over medium heat until melted.
3. Remove from heat and mix in the salt and flour.
4. Using a hand mixer, beat the eggs in a large bowl and slowly add sugar. Beat until the mixture is pale.
5. Pour the chocolate into the egg mixture, slowly folding the chocolate in. Chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
6. Pour chilled batter into individual ramekins and bake for about 8-10 minutes. The tops should be a little jiggly. Be sure not to over-bake the cakes, even if they don’t look ready on top. When serving, run a knife around the edges and invert onto a small plate.

Now it’s time to pour your batter into your ramekins. Don’t fill them too much!
Doesn’t get better than rich, gooey chocolate.
Make sure not to over bake! You want the insides to be lava-like.
Top with ice cream, whipped cream or greek yogurt if you want a health(ier) spin.
Such a perfect treat for your Valentine.
