These Are the Jobs That Are the Most Attractive on Tinder
Not getting a lot of swipes on dating apps like Tinder? It may be because you chose the wrong career. Tinder — which rolled out the job section on profiles in November — looked at the profiles that got the most right-swipes between November 2015 and January 2016 to compile a list of the 15 most popular occupations for each gender. The most right-swiped jobs on Tinder might surprise you. Or get your hopes up.
If you’re a female physical therapist or interior designer, or a male pilot or firefighter (so basically… if you live in a romantic comedy) your right swipes should be plentiful. And if you’re an entrepreneur of either sex, you should also be getting a lot of matches. Doctors and TV/radio personalities rounded out the top five careers for men, while PR pro and teacher nabbed the last top spots for women. Check out the full list of jobs below.
But no matter what your job is, adding professions to profiles has increased all users’ chances of being swiped right, says Rosette Pambakian, Tinder’s vice president of communication and branding, in an interview with Quartz. “It’s interesting to see how the most right-swiped jobs differ, but it’s also worth noting their similarities,” she said. Since the job option became available, millions of users have added it.
Keep in mind that jobs on Tinder aren’t verified. The information is added from a user’s Facebook account instead of their LinkedIn. So if you decide to go out with a pilot that fights fires in his spare time, he actually might be too good to be true.
