I am currently in the middle of a Friends rewatch and this is one comfort show that I will never get tired of. Everything from the outfits and the relationships to Chandler Bing (my favorite character!) makes me smile. I'm always reliving my favorite moments and episodes, and on May 23, Courteney Cox (who starred as Monica Geller on the hit series) relived a scene from the show too!
Referencing a moment from the season 9 episode "The One In Barbados," Courteney posted a video from her hotel room in Miami. Dressed in a black bikini and knitted v-neck coverup, Courteney exclaims "I love Miami!" before opening the door to her patio. When the video cuts to the Scream star outside — with frizzy hair — a voiceover of Monica from "The One In Barbados" cries "It's the humidity!"
This is one of the most recognizable Friends episodes, and fans commented with dozens of memes from the show. Everyone was overjoyed to see such a fun callback — especially since we're all ready for summer and the beach. I wish I was in Miami right now!
"Time for the sea shells!!!" one user says.
"People don’t know HOW ICONIC THIS IS," one user commented, while another points out that, "COURTENEY IS SO MONICA CODED."
Courteney also recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Friends finale on May 6 with a sweet clip. "It’s been 20 years since the series finale of Friends," she said on Instagram. "I don’t know how we were able to act through all the tears. Forever grateful." No matter how much time passes, the friendships and love we see in Friends will never go out of style!
