You’ll Go Bananas for Our 3-Ingredient Cheesy Monkey Bread!
Don’t worry, Pillsbury week is still in full swing. After using Pillsbury sugar cookie dough and a plethora of crescent roll dough, now it’s time for big, flaky biscuit dough to shine.
Using only 3 ingredients, we’ve taken biscuits to a whole new level. Introducing our newest concoction from the oven — a deliciously cheesy, flaky, buttery, monkey bread. When served piping hot out of the oven, it’s pretty much irresistible.
Ingredients (makes 1 mini loaf):
– 1 can biscuit dough
– 1/2 cup shredded cheese
– 1 tbsp melted butter
Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees F.
Remove dough from the can and separate it into round disks. Cut each disk into four pieces and repeat with all the disks. Then, using your fingers or your palms, roll the wedges of dough so each becomes a circle.
In your mini loaf pan, use a little less than half of the dough rounds to line the bottom. You don’t need to be exact and symmetrical when lining the pan — the fun is in the sporadic nature of the monkey bread! Then, cover the entire bottom layer with cheese. Finally, layer the remaining dough rounds on top of the cheese layer.
Lastly, lightly butter the top of the bread and then pop it into the oven for about 35 minutes, or until it’s browned on top.
We literally want to jump on top of the bread and use it as an edible bed.
