These Are the Top 5 Most-Followed Celebs on Instagram

Beyoncé may have had the most-liked post on Instagram in 2017 (her pregnancy announcement, obviously), but she doesn’t have the most followers on the photo-sharing app. Although Queen Bey’s follower count is incredible (108 million as of this writing), she just barely made the top five, and she’d need another 22 million followers to get to the top spot, currently held by another famous musician.

According to the latest numbers, Selena Gomez leads the pack with 130 million Instagram followers, making her the most-followed celeb on the app for the second year running.

Gomez’s IG account, where she shares everything from her kidney transplant to her now-defunct relationship with The Weeknd, just keeps growing and growing. Five of the “Wolves” singer’s 2017 snaps even made it into the top 10 most-liked pics of the year, with her most-liked photo landing in third behind Bey’s baby announcement and a vid by soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo. And speaking of videos, Ronaldo is the king of Instagram videos — a clip of him driving his new luxury Bugatti is at the top of the list of the most-liked videos of the year.

Ronaldo also has the second-highest follower count (116 million). Rounding out the top five are Ariana Grande (with 115 million), Beyoncé (108 million), and KKW Beauty boss Kim Kardashian West (104 million).

Besides actual celeb accounts, Insta users looked to the app to do searches on shows such as Game of Thrones and movies including Beauty and the Beast and La La Land.
