These Are the Most Googled Beauty Questions of 2015
Google is always there for us. Whether we’re on the hunt for the best red lipstick EVER to figuring out just how to achieve that flawless cat eye, we rely on the mega-powerful search engine to provide answers to our most pressing hair questions day in and day out — beauty definitely included. Google recently released lists of their most searched questions by topic, and the #1 most searched beauty question was not what we were expecting.
“How to do the Kylie Jenner lip challenge” was the most Googled beauty question last year, followed by, “What are lip fillers?” — what a coincidence ;) Having plumped up, defined lips was definitely a trend seen on multiple celebs this year, but spearheaded by Kylie for sure, so it makes sense that people were dedicated in finding how to get ‘em. If you want Kylie-esque lips, give her new lip kit a try but pleaseee don’t take part in the Kylie Jenner lip challenge. You’re better than that!
After lips, nail-related questions were the most searched, with “How to remove gel polish?” being the third most searched question (it’s both a blessing and a curse that that ish stays on SO long). “How to remove acrylic nails at home?” was the fourth most-searched beauty question — people really love their nails, y’all. After looking at this list, it’s clear that there’s a huge opportunity in 2016 for someone to find better ways to remove gel polish + acrylic nails. Start thinking now!
