The World’s Most Picturesque Hotel Might Freak You Out
The wanderlust bug seems to hit hardest during the summer, when all we want to do is plan our fantasy trips for the near future. Lately, we’re obsessed with hotels that are out of the ordinary. We want to stay everywhere from one of those ice hotels to an underwater motel. Now there’s a new hotel that makes it to the top of our list — literally. The latest accommodation to hit the globe is 1,300 feet up the side of a cliff.
The Natura Vive Skylodge Adventure Suites in Cuzco, Peru has guests truly earning their good night’s sleep. Visitors have to scale the side of a mountain so steep, it requires safety harnesses. Once guests arrive at their destination, they’re rewarded with a night in a transparent pod fit for any glamper. The pods are equipped with beds, a dining area and even a toilet. Guests can enjoy a light supper and wine before gazing up at the stars and well-earned views.
The adventure doesn’t end there. In the morning, guests wake up to breakfast atop their pods. Afterwards, they zipline across the side of the cliff. While daredeviling may not be for everyone, all you adrenaline junkies will be happy to hear that at $290 per night, it’s a surprisingly affordable stay. Are you dusting off your hiking gear yet?
