Move Over, Kate Middleton: Rania of Jordan Is the Reigning Queen of Style
Kate Middleton has been our go-to gal for all things preppy and sophisticated since she came on the scene. What’s not to love, from her wrap coats to her pussybow dress to her new look, which is trendier than it has been in past.
But while the Duchess is totally stepping it up, you might be looking for new inspo in that royal, sophisticated and timeless way. If so, check out Queen Rania of Jordan. She’s not only beautiful and charitable and all things a royal should be, but she’s also totally regal in her choices. As a practicing Muslim, she adheres to modest lengths, but that doesn’t mean she’s short on style. Here’s how to get three of the social media-savvy Queen’s looks (her Instagram tagline is: “A mum and a wife with a really cool day job” — how sweet is that!).

A ruffled blouse tucked into a midi-length skirt is pretty enough; adding in some shades of beige and mustard to bring out the colors in the skirt upgrades the look to something modest yet beautiful. Fun earrings top the look off.

The Queen has opted for full coverage here, but you can get a little sexier if you so wish for a night out with this velvet crossover dress (add a camisole or even a turtleneck if you want to show less skin). Shades of metallic silver and black — and the surprise addition of white leather in a cocktail ring — bring it all together.
Zara Crossover Velvet Dress ($100), Melissa Skinny Sandals ($48), Boohoo Embossed Clutch ($37), Kenneth Cole City Scape Earrings ($35), House of Harlow Leather Cocktail Ring ($70)

Modest doesn’t have to mean boring, and the Queen shows that through color often. Here, she’s wearing a bright orange dress that hits at knee length; you can find a similar shade and accent it with royal-approved blush colored accessories.
