Classic Cookie Mashup: The Movie Candy Cookie
While we love our classic chocolate chip cookie, you know that we also love to take that chocolate chip cookie a little further, like with our Oreo chip cookie. Recently inspired by all the Oscar buzz and awesome ways to stay updated on movie and celeb happenings, we wanted to create the perfect cookie for movie snacking. How? By throwing in some of our favorite movie candy into a cookie, obviously.
Using Milk Duds, Buncha Crunch, chocolate covered raisins, and Junior Mints, we created a new classic cookie mashup — the ultimate chocolate movie cookie!
Ingredients:
– 2 ¼ cup all purpose flour
– 1 ½ cup packed brown sugar
– 2 large eggs
– 2 sticks butter, softened
– 1 tsp baking soda
– 1 tsp salt
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– Movie Candy! we used junior mints, chocolate covered raisins, buncha crunch, and milk duds
Start off by preheating your oven to 375 degrees F.
Mix your flour, baking soda, and salt together in a medium bowl. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, use a hand mixer to mix the brown sugar and butter together until creamy. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract and beat until the dough is formed. Slowly add the flour mixture to the brown sugar while still mixing.
When your dough has no more lumps, it’s ready for some candy!
Scoop out one tablespoon of dough into your hand, and then drop a few pieces of candy into the dough. Roll the dough between your two palms until it forms a ball. Put the dough on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper or foil. Repeat with all candy and dough until the dough is finished. Bake in the oven for 9-12 minutes, or until the tops are nicely browned.
The finished cookies! Starting from the top left corner and going clockwise the cookies are 1) chocolate covered raisins, 2) Junior Mints, 3) Milk Duds and 4) Buncha Crunch.
