MTV Is Bringing Back “Jersey Shore” in 2018!
After teasing a reunion that ended up being a Burger King commercial, followed by a one-off special on E!, the original cast of Jersey Shore is officially coming back to MTV. Jersey Shore: Family Vacation is set to air in 2018.
Original cast members Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWOWW” Farley, Deena Nicole Cortese, Paul “Pauly D” Delvecchio, Vinny Guadagnino, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro are set to return for the revival series, according to a press release. Missing from the lineup is Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, though no reason was given for her absence.
The network, as well as some of the show’s stars, announced the news via social media last night.
“Welp, we’re back 2018!! Thanks to the fans!” Snooki wrote on Instagram, while JWOWW added, “Gotta teach these young ones.”

A short teaser clip for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation aired during last night’s season premiere of Floribama Shore, the latest offshoot of the Shore series. When Floribama was originally announced, fans of the original show took to social media to say that what they really wanted was a revival featuring the beloved Gym, Tan, Laundry squad. The Situation even urged fans to retweet a petition asking MTV to bring it back.
Snooki has also been teasing the reunion in recent days, telling fans that she was certain she would someday appear on their TVs again.
With many of the Shore crew now married, and two of them with young kids, the Family Vacation revival will most likely be a much more tame version of the fist-pumping days at Karma Night Club. So far, no further details have been released, but the most important thing is: They’re BACK!
