The New Trailer for Fantastic Beasts Will Fill the Harry Potter-Sized Hole in Your Heart
Harry Potter fans, as you’re probably already well aware, it’s been five long years since we were last treated to a new Harry Potter movie. While there have been a few other major moments since then that have taken us back to the wizarding realm (like the opening of Universal Studios’ Wizarding World of Harry Potter in LA and even some HP-themed coloring books), there has definitely been a huge hole left in our hearts since those final credits rolled.
That’s all about to change. The Harry Potter prequel that’s not a prequel but is also kind of a prequel, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, is slated to FINALLY hit theaters this fall. A short teaser trailer dropped back in December, but the movie’s star Eddie Redmayne headed to tonight’s MTV movie awards to share an exclusive, new clip with the world.
It’s here! Check out the teaser trailer for #FantasticBeasts and don’t miss all the magic in cinemas this November.https://t.co/fOl27PXaTZ

In the new extended trailer, we watch as Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), a wizard and writer, navigates his way through New York’s secret community of witches and wizards seventy years before Harry Potter’s time. Check it out for yourself in the video above.
Suddenly November 18 feels very, very far away.
