This Might Be the Craziest Bachelorette Party Idea Ever
You guys. Get ready to get obsessed. Our new #girlcrush Lauren MacKenzie was tired of the same ol’ bachelorette party. So when she started planning her own, she knew she wanted to go big. Really big. Like, make-your-own-VMA-worthy-music-video big. And that’s exactly what she did.
The LA-based TV writer basically had the kind of bachelorette get-together that we hope all of our friends from here on out have. (Sorry, not sorry, Vegas).
Reason number one for our wants? The song selections — it’s spot on. From lip-syncing Leslie Grace’s “Be My Baby” to Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love”— with some impressive Queen Bey moves — to Pitbull and Kesha’s “Timber,” every woman that MacKenzie loves in life was involved — both friends and family, namely grandma who rolls up in a sweet Wagoneer to steal the show.
And you can go ahead and forget watching a group of pals flail about. MacKenzie went so far as to hire a producer, editor, hair and makeup artist, choreographers and a director of photography. Everyone in the video practiced at home by watching the choreography on YouTube. The first time they performed together was when they filmed the video… and it is amazing.
The end of the music video concludes in a huge reception-esque dance party, complete with confetti, beach balls, glow-in-the-dark paint and glow sticks. Unlike most Vegas-style parties, this is one to remember. MacKenzie debuted the video at what we can only guess was a super fun and unconventional wedding on August 31. But enough talking. Get watching.
