This Model’s My Little Pony Hair Will Give You Serious Rainbow Hair Envy
We’ve seen ombré hair. We’ve seen rainbow hair. We’ve even seen sand art hair. But we’ve yet to spot hair that resembles the multicolored mane of a My Little Pony character – until now, that is. At Tuesday’s amfAR Inspiration Gala on Tuesday, actress and model Abbey Lee Kershaw debuted a dye job that we can’t stop staring at.
Reminiscent of those colorful cartoon ponies (and also the Trix yogurt of your youth), Abbey’s mane offers up a mix of sea foam green and cotton candy pink. We’ve seen dual-toned hair before (and even hair where the color is split straight down the middle), but Abbey’s take on the trend appears to divide the colors by layer length.
Rather than randomly coloring strands around the whole head, the shorter layers are all pink and the longer ones, blue. In theory it sounds as though this sort of dye technique could easily end up looking choppy, but Abbey’s soft layers seem to blend to the two colors together perfectly.
We were seriously considering dipping our heads in some sand art hair this summer, but the arrival of this layered color just might make us second guess our mermaid hair motives.
