Naomi Wadler Is the New Voice of Change
On March 14, 11-year-old Naomi Wadler organized an 18-minute walkout at her school — 17 minutes to represent the 17 students killed in the Parkland tragedy and one more for Courtlin Arrington, a Black teen who was also shot at her school but whose story never made national headlines. Just over a month later, Wadler found herself onstage at the March For Our Lives, asking the entire country to remember Black women and girls in the fight to end gun violence.
“Future Women of America” is a multimedia project spotlighting 15 young women under 20 who are making bold moves. Click here to see all the trailblazing women and girls featured.
