NastyGal’s Returning to eBay With an Epic Vintage Auction
Sophia Amoruso might be the most badass entrepreneur on the planet. The bold banged-NastyGal CEO’s success story is the kind that Drake songs are written about: starting from the bottom, slinging treasured thrifted finds on eBay, then less than 10 years later, turning that business into a $100 million+ global brand by breaking all the rules in all the right ways. AND doing so while wearing an insanely plunging neckline.
But her latest move has made our girl crush run Emma Stone-level deep. In conjunction with the release of her first book #GIRLBOSS, Amoruso has launched a non-profit organization poised to empower the next generation of wildly creative girls — visionaries, entrepreneurs, troublemakers etc. She is raising money for it the best way she knows how: reviving the Nasty Gal Vintage eBay store for an exclusive auction.
From May 19-29, fashion fangirls will get to revel in Amoruso’s #YOLO moment when she puts more than 30 standout vintage pieces from her own designer wardrobe up for bid. Alluring labels like Versace, Comme De Garcons, and Moschino will all be up for grabs and, will presumably, be fashion-forward picks fit for body-confident cool girls, just like her brand.
Yeah, the looks on NastyGal are sexy (deal with it) and they’re just what her fearless customers want to buy. You know, that crop top you order when you feel you’ve crushed it at the gym, the jumpsuit that’s gonna compliment that daring new ‘do, or in our case, the fit and flare dress that is just a bit more fit than the rest.
With bids starting at $300 and going up to $5,000, Amoruso must be parting with some of her best-of-the-best statement pieces, and we can’t wait to stare them down. If those price tags are out of your “but it’s for a good cause!” price range, you can still pick up some more wallet-friendly vintage finds over on her .com. Though splurging in the weeks to come might spur a life-changing revelation: being Nasty can feel very, very good.
