Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent Welcomed Baby #2 and the Announcement Is So Meaningful
It’s a boy for Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent! The power-couple design duo announced the arrival of their son on Wednesday with a pair of Instagram posts that are as sweet as they are meaningful.
“It is with so much love that we welcome Oskar Brent-Berkus to our family,” Berkus wrote, sharing a first sneak peek of the family’s new bundle, a black-and-white pic of Oskar’s foot sticking out from under a baby blanket. “We have waited for you, we already love you, and we as a family stand on the shoulders of so many people who have made it possible for families like ours to continue to grow.”
Brent also shared an emotional introduction to their new son. “Yesterday, life cracked open in a way I didn’t think it could again with the birth of our son Oskar Brent-Berkus,” he wrote. “Love multiplied. How can love continue to expand like this. Hand in hand our family is basking in the phenomenon of it all. We love you little Oskar. How thankful we are. How beautiful it all is.” (Um, no, YOU’RE crying.)
Little Oskar joins big sister Poppy, who turned three last week and appears to be excitedly pointing to her new baby brother’s foot in the photo shared by her parents. Poppy’s arrival inspired Berkus and Brent’s first baby line, a Target collection that encapsulated their trendy, classy aesthetic.
Berkus and Brent first revealed that they were expecting a new baby just last month — on Valentine’s Day — sharing a charming video of Poppy excitedly holding a handful of blue balloons and saying, “We’re having a baby brother!” Congrats to the growing family!
