Netflix Just Renewed GLOW for Another Season and We Can’t Wait for Round 2
The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling are getting back in the ring for another round — er, season. Netflix announced Thursday that the show was renewed for a second season after the success of the first season, which debuted in June.
“More glitz. More guts. More @GlowNetflix,” the official Netflix US account captioned a short Twitter video of a pair of pink, glittery lips. “Season 2 is on the way.”

The official GLOW account tweeted the video too, adding the cheeky line, “Here we #GLOW again…”
GLOW, which is inspired by the 1980s women’s wrestling group of the same name, stars Alison Brie as a struggling, out-of-work actress who auditions for an all-female pro wrestling league in a last-ditch attempt to get her name in lights. Her sworn enemy in the ring? Her former best friend, ex-soap-star Debbie Eagan, played by Betty Gilpin.
Sydelle Noel, Britney Young, Britt Baron, Kimmy Gatewood, Sunita Mani, Rebekka Johnson, Kate Nash, Marianna Salka, Gayle Rankin, Kia Stevens, Ellen Wong, Jackie Tohn, Marc Maron, and Chris Lowell round out the stellar supporting cast.
The series’ 10-episode first season won wide acclaim and a lot of buzz from fans when it debuted on June 23. According to The Hollywood Reporter, season two will also feature 10 episodes.
