The Color You *Should* Be Wearing on Tinder to Score More Dates
With millions of people on all kinds of dating sites these days, apps have lots of data on daters. We know that brunette is the most common hair color for women on Match in 2015 and that even your name can be used to help determine your attractiveness. Oh yeah, and there’s that new site that uses artificial intelligence to rank your “hotness.” Tinder is probably one of the biggest names in the dating app world ATM, so you better believe that they have tons and tons of data on what their daters are doing… or in this case, wearing. Here’s what you need to know to make sure your profile is a standout.
According to a study Tinder shared with Mashable, 56.2 percent of women and 76 percent of men wear neutral colors in their main profile picture on their online dating profile. Can you say BORING? Just kidding, neutral colors are highly versatile and actually the best when it comes to your closet… however, it might not be doing much for your love life. The second most popular color that people are wearing in their prof pics is black with 30.6 percent of women and 32.3 percent of men sporting the shade. So edgy, amirite?
Tinder also revealed that 21.7 percent of women wear a dress in their profile pic while a big hulkin’ zero percent wear a long sleeve button down in their primary photo. It really makes you wonder why button downs get no love. There’s no word however on how many women like to wear one piece jumpsuits.
So if you want to stand out in the crowd and you’re all about those technicolor floral jumpsuits, keep it up ;)
