WHOA: Netflix Is Hinting That Max Medina Will Return to Gilmore Girls
There’s no doubt those behind the Gilmore Girls are masters at building up the excitement. Though we’re still months away from the return to Stars Hollow, there have been a steady stream of teases making us more giddy by the moment. But while we were busy wondering if Rory’s found love or if Lorelai is pregnant (eee!), the folks behind the scenes have been getting ready to throw us for a loop. With a new hint being revealed, there’s reason to believe that Max Medina is coming back to Gilmore Girls.
A simple yet oh-so-revealing pic posted to Netflix’s Instagram account shows a mug rack. Each mug has a different name corresponding to the different fellas — or teams — that tried to win the ladies’ hearts on the show, and the caption says, “Decisions, decisions… #GilmoreGirls #Coffee #Mondays.” Notice the details on each mug hinting at the nature and status of the various relationships.

Team Dean. Team Logan. Team Jess. Aw. Then there’s Team Luke. But wait… Team Christopher? Team Max?! Whoa. What’s Max doing in there.
For those in the know, you’ll remember that Max Medina was not only Rory’s English teacher, he was also Lorelai’s ex-fiancé. “I realized that I have studied and taught the great literature all my life and those stories are replete with characters that let opportunities slip by,” Max admitted while proposing. “But what I teach is more than just literature — it’s lessons in life. And if I don’t follow the tenets of those lessons, I’m not the man I thought I was. The man I want to be.”
Has Max finally become the man he wanted to be? Is he trying to win Lorelai back? What’s happening?! We need to know! Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until November 25 when Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life hits Netflix.
