The Reason Why This Couple Did a Newborn Photo Shoot With Their Puppy Is Genius

After you get married, all your loved ones typically let you enjoy your honeymoon phase for awhile and then there is a point where all those families gatherings tend to turn into questions about when you and your partner are going to have kids – Matt and Abby are at that point. So to respond to everyone’s question the couple decided to answer in the best way possible: with a newborn puppy photo shoot.
Australian photographer Elisha Minnette tells us she and Abby came up with the idea while they were on the way back from picking up Abby and Matt’s new Goldendoodle, Humphrey. Minnette says, “Abby and I have the craziest sense of humour and we feed off of each other with ideas, literally always thinking and discussing ideas (funny ones). We are both in the creative industry so it comes naturally to us.”
Similar to the engagement photo shoot that genius dude did with a buritto, Matt and Abby’s photoshoot follows all the standard shots that you might find in a newborn series. We see Humphrey gently wrapped in Abby’s arms, snuggled up in a blanket and we even see him walking on a rustic footpath with his parents help. While there is definitely a parody element to the photos, Elisha wants to make clear that, “This shoot was NOT done to make fun of new parents or to make fun of parents who over share there baby photos on social media. This was just clean simple Sunday afternoon fun.”
