Katy Perry may want to think twice about sharing too many deets when it comes to her love life! Not only did John Mayer respond to the pop singer’s ranking of her past lovers, but the newly nearly unrecognizable Niall Horan has something to say after the “Bon Appétit” singer claimed that the One Direction performer is “always” trying to flirt with her.
“Katy, please stop being mean to me!” Horan pleaded via The Project according to Perez Hilton. “She is just finding any excuse to just patronize me and go around spreading rumors about me.”He continued on by saying, “I just want to be her friend.”
Horan’s response was a direct reaction to Perry’s comments about the younger man that came during an interview with Nova 96.9FM’s Fitzy & Wippa radio show, “I see him around all the time — he’s always trying to like get my number, to maybe like flirt with me but I’m like, ‘I can babysit you! I’m like your mum,” she quipped. Ouch!
Horan apparently feels like this view is a little extreme. “I mean, she is talking like she is about 55 years older than me. She is not that much older than me.” (Fair enough, considering he’s 23 and she’s 32 — they’re not exactly in the same age bracket, but they’re not quite in the mother-son sector, either).
Then again, Demi Lovato made similar claims about a (possibly) overly ambitious Horan, herself. Dude may just want to be friends, but perhaps he might want to scale back his efforts a bit, lest he give ladies the wrong idea?
