There’s twinning, and then there’s twinning. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon were part of the latter group at last night’s 2017 Kids’ Choice Awards, where the ex-wife and husband walked the red carpet together with their two fraternal twins, Monroe and Moroccan, in head-to-toe matching ensembles.
Moroccan was the spitting image of dad Cannon (who recently had a baby boy with ex-girlfriend Brittany Bell) — they even rocked the same footwear! — while Monroe was mommy Carey’s mini-me sans for a pair of tights.
Carey took to Instagram pre-awards to show off her adorable look, saying, “Trying on a matching ensemble with RoeRoe.”
Cannon was also clearly excited, posting a shot of the group post-awards and saying, “Awesome day! #Family.”
Okay, we know Carey has a new man and all (though Cannon thinks it’s all for the cameras), but we can’t help but feel pains of nostalgia for the couple’s pre-split days when we see them being so absolutely freaking adorable.
They weren’t the only parents twinning with their kids last night, however: The fam had some pretty fierce competition in the form of Blac Chyna and son King Cairo, who were also mother/son goals in his and hers white blouses and distressed denim.
What a bunch of sweethearts!
