The Bachelor’s Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi have been doing their best to convince the world that things are all fine and dandy in their relationship, despite eyebrows raising over the awkward status of their very public engagement. And while they continue to smile (a little) for the cameras, Viall has just revealed that there’s no wedding in sight and claims that it’s just “too early” to marry his fiancée.
The 36-year-old (who’s currently competing on Dancing With the Stars) spoke with Us while backstage and revealed that he isn’t thinking about his upcoming wedding at all. In fact, it’s nowhere in sight. “Like Vanessa and I have said, it’s too early for us right now,” he admitted, adding, “We’re very open about the fact that we have a long way to go, and we’re excited about that journey.”
While that might be disappointing news for anyone hoping to enjoy a Bachelor wedding sooner rather than later, Viall feels like it’s best to take their time, saying, “We’re still just doing a lot of new things together.” Though that’s totally normal for a couple who have only been together for around four months, considering these two are already engaged, let’s hope that one of those new things is a sit-down with a wedding planner… ya know, eventually.
