Pump Up the Jams With 3D Printed Earbuds
One of the best things about having a smartphone (besides all the super cool accessories and apps), is blasting your favorite tunes anytime you like — while jogging, strutting the streets or riding the bus. Your phone does what it can to get the best sound for your music but it’s only half of the equation. The other half? Top notch earbuds.
Introducing Normal — an anything-but-normal app that let’s you 3D print earbuds that are customized just for your ears!
Here’s how it works: You download the free app (available on iOS and Android) and take photos of your ears (yes, ear selfies… searlfies?). Once you’ve got the photos, you’ll start customizing your buds, including color (we love the red option). When you’re done jazzing yours up, you simply place your order through the app.
Thanks to super awesome smartphone technology and 3D printing, these photos translate into one-of-a-kind earbuds that fit your ear grooves perfectly. You’ll never lose another note again! The customization isn’t the only cool thing about Normals. They also come with a gold plated 3.5 mm jack and three-button control that works with any smartphone. You can turn it up, turn it down and take a call all without missing a beat.
For $199, you get a pair of personalized earphones and a customized laser etched carrying case. The best part? You should have them within 48 hours. We could hardly believe it either, but, yes, sounds like music to our ears too!
