This 'Oceans 8' Group Halloween Costume Is So Easy It Should Be a Crime
This Halloween, assemble your badass girl gang for this epic Ocean's 8 group costume. Each of these stylish scammers brings a different level of flair to their iconic outfits — from fur, boots, and bodycon dresses, to dreadlocks and glorified sweatpants. No matter what your plans may end up being, this group get-up is the perfect excuse to have a girl's night out that's as exciting as a well-executed jewelry heist.
Debbie Ocean: The lead character played by Sandra Bullock — and arguably the most iconic of the bunch — kept it ultra classy throughout the film. To re-create her look, simply pair a lace bodycon dress ($20) with thigh-high boots ($70) and then use a wide barrel curling iron to add subtle waves.
Nine Ball: Rihanna definitely makes being a hacker genius look fun with her carefree, rasta-inspired vibe. Copy her laid-back look with a pair of light blue distressed jeans ($33), an olive green jacket ($35), and a rasta beanie with dreads included ($16). Be sure to add some Jamaican flair with a Lion of Judah patch ($7) and a ganja leaf pin ($7).
Tammy: Played by Sarah Paulson, the deceptively sweet and innocent Tammy may have seemed to retire from her life of crime but is *actually* the brains behind the entire operation. Copy her preppy schoolgirl look with a white collared shirt ($17), a black cardigan ($20), grey skinny jeans ($35), and a black headband ($6). Be sure to bring a "don't mess with my money" attitude to top it off.
Rose: Tasked with designing the gang's heist disguises, Rose (played by Helena Bonham Carter) knows you can only execute a major crime in style. The fashionable femme always appears sleek and so can you by combining a sleek black blazer ($16), a black pencil skirt ($18), a vintage-inspired ruffled blouse ($16), a velvet bow ($11), and cool cat-eye sunglasses ($10).
Lou: The always en vogue Cate Blanchett (on screen and IRL) plays Lou and looks chic with a shaggy faux fur coat ($35), a green velvet tank top ($13), black leggings ($16), and a pair of embellished cat-eye sunglasses ($10). If you want to be really authentic, darken the fur on the jacket with Magic Root touch up spray ($10) to create the vertical striping.
Daphne Kluger: Anne Hathaway's character is the perfect fit for anyone who dreams of being a movie star. Take your Met Gala invite and your high-stakes scheme and pair with a black bodycon dress ($49), oversized sunglasses ($15), and pearl bracelet ($8).
Constance: An expert pickpocket and a clear asset to the team, Awkwafina's character is the chosen one to do the big diamond swap, and her casual vibe keeps her out of the spotlight. Throw together this look by pairing up an embroidered bomber jacket ($26), maroon fitted sweats ($30), and a pink knit beanie. Perhaps then you too can possess the powers of a master thief.
Amita: Played by Mindy Kaling, Amita is clearly ready to claim her cut and run. Tasked with making the jewel replica to swap in when they steal the real thing, Amita's conservative and very innocent look can be easily copied with a grey turtleneck sweater ($18) and black leggings ($16) for the easy Halloween costume win.
And just like that, you have an ultra easy DIY costume for you and ALL of your GFs. Take this group lewk to the next level with fun props like a chunky diamond necklace ($8) (casually hanging out of someone's pocket) and plenty of fake hundos ($10) to make it rain wherever you go.
