Olivia Munn’s Wine-Colored Lips Are Getting Us Excited for Fall Already
We know you might be trying to hold onto the last drops of summer in any way you can, but Olivia Munn just gave us the perfect fall date-night beauty look at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards. It’ll have you saying sayonara to glosses and hellooooo to deep-berry lip shades.
The Office Christmas Party star rocked a stunning embroidered minidress by designer Nicolas Jebran from his spring-summer 2017 Daughters of Eve couture collection. She kept her accessories minimal, adding Jimmy Choo sandals, jewelry by Dana Rebecca Designs, and rings by Effy Jewelry and Sara Weinstock.
Celebrity makeup artist Patrick Ta credits the mini as the basis for the beauty look. “The dress was our inspiration for the makeup and hair,” he said in a statement. “With her hair cut short, I wanted to keep the makeup subtle with a bronze eye and berry colored lip and cheeks to complement the floral dress.”
Ta used two lip colors on the Ocean’s Eight star, pairing CHANEL’s Rouge Allure Intense Long-Wear Lip Colour in Ultraberry ($37) with CHANEL’s Le Crayon Lèvres Precision Lip Definer in Seduction ($31).
Because the lips made such a statment, the pro “wanted to keep the eyes very natural and fresh.” He relied on CHANEL’s Ombre Première Longwear Cream Eyeshadow in Memory on her lids and two shades from CHANEL’s Les 4 Ombres Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow in Road Movie ($61) near the crease and blended upwards. He added CHANEL’s Ombre Première Longwear Powder Eyeshadow in Beat ($30) all over the lids for a photo-ready finish, setting the look with CHANEL’s Ombre Première Longwear Powder Eyeshadow in Bronze Antique and Sable ($30). To make her eyes pop, Ta curled her lashes twice and added CHANEL Le Volume de Chanel Mascara in Noir ($32).
All in all, she looked like an autumn date night dream in the dog days of summer, and we’re obsessed. Now where’s our Pumpkin Spice Latte?
