Olivia Palermo is pretty much the ultimate girl-on-the-go. At least she’s snapped bouncing from launch parties to fashion shows and ruling the street in between with her now-iconic style enough for it to seem like she’s got the mobile-girl lifestyle down pat. It turns out her latest collaboration has officially cemented that theory: Olivia has teamed up with luxury accessories brand Aspinal of London to design a tote bag that will charge a smartphone and tablet.
According to a blog post on Aspinal of London’s website, Olivia will put her eclectic sartorial spin on the brand’s posh Marylebone Tote for an extremely limited production — just 30 bags in total — that will launch in March.
The bag in question is pretty tech savvy to start with, equipped with internal pockets formatted for your devices and cable paths that allow you to charge your tech whether it’s stowed or in-hand. It’s also already super chic and customizable: It’s available in 11 colors and has the option to be monogrammed, so we’re guessing OP’s add-ons must be pretty special. If her recent style leanings have any bearing on the design, we’re guessing she’ll make her mark with fringe or tassels.
According to WWD, the OP-styled bags will sell for upwards of $1,500, with all proceeds going to ADCAM, a charity that works with people in the Masai Mara region of Kenya. So with price tags that high and product that limited, it doesn’t seem likely that you’ll actually get your paws on this totable multitasker. But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t other extremely stylish and equally smart options out there! Check out some of our favorite tech-savvy totables below so that you can be as on top of your away-from-home game as Olivia.
1. Everpurse ($249): A chic convertable bag that will cordlessly charge your phone for up to 96 hours. What more can you ask for?
2. Mighty Purse ($100): This party-ready wristlet is equipped with a slim battery pack that can recharge a smartphone up to four times over.
3. emPOWERED Large Leather Tote ($289): The lightweight charger doesn’t cramp the contents of this roomy tote and is compatible with just about any portable device — perfect for the tablet-toting gal.
4. Voye Clutch ($149): While this bag doesn’t actually charge your phone (nothing a portable charger couldn’t fix), it’s worth mentioning here because it turns itself into a phone case. You’ll never lose your phone again.
