Olivia Wilde Sent Jennifer Lawrence the Perfect Gift After That Vomiting Incident
Not everyone would be thrilled that Jennifer Lawrence vomited at their Broadway show (!!!), but not everyone is Olivia Wilde. The actress is currently starring in 1984, which has been causing people in the audience to get sick, pass out, and/or get themselves arrested, so Wilde totally understands how one might have a physical reaction to the play, especially if you happen to have the flu. That’s why she sent Lawrence a gift afterward.
“I felt so bad and I sent her some Matzah ball soup and some bagels,” Wilde said on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on Tuesday. Definitely a thoughtful (and delish) gift. And considering Lawrence was the one who threw up at Wilde’s show and therefore could have felt obligated to send her friend a “Holy heck, I’m so sorry” present, it’s extra sweet that Wilde wasn’t offended and just wanted to make sure her pal was feeling okay.
Revealing that Lawrence is now “much better,” Wilde said that her friend “didn’t need to apologize” for the incident. “She had a stomach flu, the poor thing walked in sick,” she explained.
Wilde previously poked fun at the incident on Twitter, joking, “As long as I have a play, Jennifer Lawrence has a place to puke. #honored #getwellsoon #iloveyou #1984onbarfway #spewbagsnotincluded.”
Maybe now that’s Lawrence is on the mend, she’ll want to give 1984 another shot. Although, for her body’s sake, maybe not.
