The Olsen twins are something of an enigma. They host secret weddings where cigarette bowls are the central decor theme. They regularly dress like they’re being inducted into a modern-day coven. And yet, somehow, whatever they do, they manage to pull it off like it ain’t no thang. Now included in this other realm of utter twin perfection: wedding guest attire.
The duo took the celebratory occasion to try out two looks that diverged ever-so-slightly from the gothic-chic aesthetic we know and love them for. Mary-Kate went for a short swing dress with a pilgrim-inspired collar (a low-key ode to the trending fall harvest, perhaps?). Ashley opted for a midi sequined gown that looks like the sort of vintage store gem we only ever dream of finding. Complete with bubblegum pink heels, Ashley’s look is essentially the perfect combo of old meets new.
Ashley and MK weren’t the only two celebs who showed up to the wedding looking stunning. The luxurious fall nuptials was basically Met Gala 2.0 (sans Anna Wintour). Karlie Kloss showed up and brought English royalty as her date. Fashion editor Derek Blasberg also snapped photos from the day. And Heidi Klum looks like she danced her face off at the reception.
Looks like our invite got lost in the mail. But it’s fine. We were like, probably super busy that day anyway.
