Win the Olympic Gold Medal With This Fab 5 Gymnastics Halloween Costume
We all know that Halloween is the best holiday, because you get to dress up as all the people you wish you could be but aren’t. AKA, the reason I have been Beyoncé for the past three years :) This year I had another dream — to be one of the fab five gymnasts. Squad up with your gals that have the same Olympic dreams and create these gold medal winning leotards for your Halloween costume this year.
We bought these basic Capezio White Leotards ($23) from Amazon and were blown away by how soft they were! I buy A LOT of things off of Amazon, and am often quite disappointed, but these leos were very comfortable to wear.
A couple months ago I found out about Tulip Fabric Spray Paint ($9). It is AMAZING! It’s so easy to use and doesn’t make your clothes stiff. Use painter’s tape to tape off the blue shoulder and red wavy stripes — then spray away!
Let’s be real — it would be a little uncomfortable to wear a leotard around all night, so we added warm-up pants to this costume. We bought these Vertical Sport Track Pants ($20) from Amazon and hot glued USA letters that are cut from felt.
And, of course, top off the costume with a gold medal!
Throw on some tights underneath your leo because 1) it will most likely be cold and 2) you’ll feel more comfortable ;)
Now start practicing those gymnastics moves! This was my favorite leap, called a wolf jump. Not sure why it’s called that, but you will want one leg bent and the other straight.
And then, of course, handstands.
