‘One Tree Hill’ Cast Members Say Their New Christmas Movie ‘Feels Like a High School Reunion’
This week, cast members from the 2000s teen drama One Tree Hill will reunite for a Lifetime Christmas special, and according to some of the stars, being back on set together feels just like old times.
“When you do a three-week shoot, having to manufacture long-term relationships with people can be awkward and clunky,” Hilarie Burton, who starred as Peyton Sawyer on the WB show, told People. “We already have those preexisting relationships. We work very well with each other.”
Burton, along with One Tree Hill costars Danneel Ackles, Robert Buckley, Antwon Tanner, and Tyler Hilton, will star in Lifetime’s original holiday movie The Christmas Contract, which follows Jolie (Burton) as she heads home to Louisiana — where her recent ex-boyfriend will also be with his new girlfriend.
Fellow OTH (and Laguna Beach) alum Stephen Coletti will also star in a new Lifetime holiday original, Hometown Christmas, and he and his former costars will appear on a reunion special called ‘Tis the Season, airing on Lifetime following the premiere of The Christmas Contract.
“It’s like family you want to hang out with!” Colletti said of the reunion special. Hilton, who will sing a new original song in The Christmas Contract, added that being back on set with his old costars “feels like a high school reunion all the time.”
The Christmas Contract premieres on Lifetime on November 22 at 8pm ET, and will be followed by the One Tree Hill reunion special at 10pm ET. Hometown Christmas will air December 16 at 8pm ET.
