Opening Ceremony + Teva Just Designed Your Go-To Summer Sandals
Remember a few years ago when you thought sporting Birkenstocks was a fashion crime? Then the shoe started popping up in gorgeous metallic and floral prints — and we started to reconsider our opinions. We’ll admit it, we’re even thinking about wearing them with socks… It looks like that same brand revitalization is happening to another beloved ’90s sandal. Prepare yourself for the comeback of Teva.
The 2015 OP x Teva lineup consists of three styles: the Hurricane XLT Gladiator, which offers a sporty take on the classic summer sandal, the Psyclone Tonal, a waterproof suede shoe with a woven top and then there’s the Flatform Universal, a platform that looks like it’s been plucked straight out of the ’90s. Since the line’s official launch on May 5, the Flatform Universal has already sold out – you’ll probably spy it on eBay in the next few days though. However, you can snag the other two styles for $95-120.
Considering the adventure-filled backbone of Teva’s brand we’re guessing this mix of fashion + practicality is going to make for one seriously popular summer shoe. A beachside hike? A music festival? A trip to the grocery store? Tevas will work for it all.
