Orange You Glad We Made Orange Ginger Rum Punch?
And now for something citrusy, gingery, cinnamony, and spiked! Our Orange Ginger Rum Punch has quickly become a Friday afternoon staple here at Brit HQ and is a great way to get a bit of vitamin C in the winter months. This also makes a great fruity brunch cocktail if you’re looking for a break from bellinis and mimosas. Cheers!
Ingredients (makes 1 bowl of punch, 8-12 glasses)
– 4 bottles of ginger beer
– 2 cups of white rum
– 3-5 oranges (2 1/2 for juicing, the rest for garnish)
– 3 cinnamon sticks
– 1 tbsp whole cloves
How great do these ingredients look together?
First, the booze. Pour 2 cups of rum into your punch bowl.
Now, time to tackle that freshly squeezed orange juice.
If you don’t have a proper orange juicer, use a lemon juicer instead but in reverse. An orange won’t fit into a lemon juicer the proper way but a little upside down action definitely does the job. We juiced 2 1/2 oranges.
Drop in a few sticks of cinnamon and a bunch of cloves and pour in the ginger beer.
Top with orange slices and you’re ready to serve!
This cocktail is best served over ice, so be sure to keep an ice bucket next to your punch bowl.
