Starbucks Latest App Update Will Change the Way You Get Your PSL Fix
If you’re craving a pumpkin spice latte but don’t have time to wait in a line that’s spilling out the door, Starbucks has a nifty solution for you: just order and pay ahead on your phone. The company announced today that its Mobile Order & Pay on iOS and Android is now available nationwide and lets customers place and pay for orders on mobile devices. From the app, users can choose the most convenient Starbucks location on the map, view the estimated time the order will be ready, pay and pick up their food and drinks at the bar.
Earlier this summer, Starbucks expanded the app — which began in Portland, OR — to 3,400 stores across 17 states. Today, it’s available at more than 7,400 company-owned stores. And if you live in the UK or Canada, Starbucks says it also plans to expand this service to you in October.
“Bringing Mobile Order and Pay to our customers is about meeting their needs of convenience and customization at any time of the day,” Adam Brotman, Starbucks chief digital officer, said in a company news release.
Now there’s no excuse to forgo your caffeine fix.
