See the Coolest Crowd-Sourced Paint-By-Numbers Project Ever
Remember paint-by-numbers coloring books? Kind of the best thing ever, especially when unusual color combinations are involved. As part of this year’s Re:Make weekend, we teamed up with Lowe’s to create a site-specific paint-by-numbers mural for everyone to participate in.
The message? Live Creatively, of course. The imagery? A super colorful version of the Golden Gate Bridge with San Francisco glowing in the background. How fun is that?
To bring this idea to life, we worked with a professional mural designer as well as a local mural-focused non-profit called Precita Eyes.
Then, we chose our favorite Brit + Co colors, all available in Valspar Signature Paint and Primer.
We created a paint-by-numbers key and invited all Re:Make attendees to leave their mark on this fun, colorful piece.
If only all DIY projects were as simple a paint-by-numbers ;)
The artists at Precita Eyes were on hand to add touch-ups throughout the day, and to make sure to encourage anyone checking out the mural to step up and paint a section with Valspar Signature Paint and Primer.
Valspar and Lowe’s are committed to helping everyone find the right color to transform any space and offer a variety of unique and innovative tools to help with every step of the color selection journey — we can definitely get behind that mission!
Thanks to Lowe’s for partnering with us on this super unique crowd-sourced artwork. We love the idea of keeping this going here at Brit HQ!
