The time of year we all eagerly anticipate is finally here. No, we don't mean the holidays — we're talking about Pantone's announcement for Color of the Year! And this year, Pantone has picked a vibrant, purple shade called Ultra Violet. Pantone's color picks typically have a huge impact on the fashion, beauty, and interior design worlds, and every December, Pantone's COTY selection predicts the trends we'll inevitably see in the upcoming year. Stay ahead of the curve with these 19 fashion and beauty buys that celebrate Ultra Violet.
Intentionally Blank State Slingback Heel ($193): A classic satin shoe is given a modern facelift thanks to the v-shaped vamp and a chunky block heel.
Zara Pleated Velvet T-Shirt
($30): Velvet is the fabric du jour, and nothing is more luxurious than purple velvet. Buy the matching pants for an outfit Prince would be proud of.
Butter London Pantone 2018 Color of the Year Plush Rush Lip Gloss ($20): If you want to stay absolutely true to the color Pantone created, this is the product for you. Butter London has partnered with Pantone to create this lip gloss shade, appropriately called "Ultra Violet."
New Balance 574 Sport Sneakers ($88): If your New Year's resolution is to be more active, it's always a good idea to treat yourself to some new kicks to get you motivated. These suede sneakers will make those daily jogs much more fun.
ASOS TALL Oversized Chunky Sweater ($45): Chunky and oversized, this is a sweater you'll be living in all winter long.
Topshop Velvet and Lace Pants
($45): Most days, our PJs consist of sweats and an old tee shirt. But there's something to be said for slipping into a feminine, matching set that makes bedtime feel more glamorous.
Farsali Unicorn Essence ($54): This cult-favorite beauty product was ahead of the game with its spot-on packaging.
ASOS Sequin Cami with V Neck
($42): Still looking for an NYE outfit? Look no further than this sparkly cami.
Colorpop Super Shock Shadow ($5): Colorpop is known for its highly pigmented formulas and bold colors, so it's no surprise to see this vibrant shade of violet here.
& Other Stories Glitter Pumps ($135): The hue of these sparkly pumps is more muted than Ultra Violet, but they're a good gateway into the world of bold colors.
Lime Crime Unicorn Hair ($16): If you've been on the fence about jumping on the brightly colored hair train, this semi-permanent color lets you try it out without committing 100 percent.
Marc Jacobs O!Mega Lash Volumizing Mascara
($26): This best-selling mascara gives you mega-volume and lash definition.
Instead of reaching for the standard black though, why not try out a daring shade like purple?
Genuine People Satin Slingback Pumps in Violet ($189): These chic little slingbacks are delicate and demure, but they have a surprise wow factor thanks to the color.
Natasha Denona Star Liner ($29): This unique duo liner set gives you bold color and sparkle in one package. It's sure to take your holiday winged liner to a whole new level.
Farrow Kyle Pants ($48): With all the over-indulging during the holidays, sometimes we wish we could just live in our sweats. These pull-on pants give you the same level of comfort, but with the glitz you need for all your upcoming parties.
Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick
($24): High-impact lip colors can sometimes fall short in terms of longevity and comfort. Not this one — the lightweight formula is infused with oils to condition the lips, and it won't budge for a solid eight hours.
& Other Stories Metallic Skirt With Side Tie
($95): This metallic skirt has enough drama on its own — all you need is a simple black tee for a look that's both festive and effortless.
Tarte Fan Brush
($30): Tarte's line of Rainforest of the Sea brushes are all so beautiful, we wouldn't blame you for buying the entire set.
Topshop HARP Patent Ankle Boots ($160): Ultra Violet is a color that doesn't shy away from the spotlight, and neither do these fabulous, retro-inspired boots.
