Made Us Look: A Paper Replica of the “Friends” Apartment
Friday’s a good day for a little eye candy, don’t you think? We wanted to include this in today’s BritList but there are just so many awesome photos that we had to turn it into a full-fledged post. As the title tells you, this piece of awesomeness is an accurate paper replica of your favorite sitcom apartment: The Friends’ Apartment!
Created by Brazilian artist Bruna Salvador Conforto, the entire model is made out of paper. Every surface has been hand painted, including a teeny tiny wedding photo of Monica and Chandler.
Our favorite part? Obviously the gilded framed keyhole. Nothing screams ’90s interior design like a bit of shabby chic.
And what about the balcony? The perfect place to gawk at ugly naked guy.
We could sit here and rattle off our favorite moments from Friends (“pivot!”) but, instead, we’ll just let you ooh and ahh at these amazing photographs of such a cool, creative, and crazy project that took two years to create. Yes. TWO YEARS!
Here’s a peek at what the scene looks like on Conforto’s workspace. It’s the ultimate ’90s diorama. Maybe we can send over these floor plans from famous TV shows and see what she can do with Carrie’s apartment or the Golden Girls house.
