While everyone else was busy focusing on the ahmazing clothing from this season’s fashion shows, we had our eyes on the prize — AKA, the makeup. Though there were more than a few trends to catch our eye, one throwback style has us really excited for spring 2018. Pastel trends for spring are sure to brighten up your entire look just like they did in the ’90s. Here’s what you’ll need to get in on the colorific fun. Now if we could just fast forward through winter…
1. Psychedelic Pastel Lips: One trend that you’ll want to copy from the runways is a poppin’ pastel lip, like the psychedelic colors seen on the Thom Browne runway. Use Nyx Macaron Lippies ($7) in pastel lavender or step out of your comfort zone and go for pistachio, citron yellow, or orange blossom. Too much fun!
2.Mellow Yellow Eyes: Trust and believe that you’ll want to copy a pastel shadow like the cherry look seen at Novis NYC. Go full-on yellow using the “moonlight” shade found in the I Love Brunch PRO Palette ($44), or couple it with any other pastel shade for a dynamic spring duo.
3. Pastel Wing Woman: If a full pastel shadow is too much for you, try just a blue accented wing tip on your bottom lid, like Tom Pecheux demoed on the Oscar De La Renta runway. Try it out with Urban Decay Razor Sharp Water-Resistant Longwear Liquid Eyeliner ($22) in cobalt blue. (Photo via Tom Pecheux)
