Patton Oswalt Is Engaged to Meredith Salenger
Happy news from Patton Oswalt! Nearly a year and a half after the shocking and devastating loss of his beloved wife, Michelle McNamara, the comedian has confirmed (in his own quirky way) that he’s engaged to his girlfriend (now-fiancée), actress Meredith Salenger.
Salenger, 47, and Oswalt, 48, recently made their relationship red carpet official when they hit the premiere of Baby Driver last month. They first had fans wondering if their relationship had taken a massive leap forward when a hint popped up on Instagram yesterday. “Once upon a time… in 2008… at my friend’s wedding… I caught the bouquet… #fairytalesdoexist,” Salenger captioned a pic of herself during that foretelling moment.
It took nearly a day for the actress to confirm what fans suspected, and when she finally did, the announcement came with a little cheekiness.
Taking to Instagram once again, this time with a pic that showed herself and Oswalt, she added, “I don’t wanna brag… but check out the size of The Rock on my finger! Hahahah (photoshop via @edwardderuiter).”
The photo showed an image of *The Rock* where *her* rock would be. (It’s clear she shares Oswalt’s super silly sense of humor.)
But from there, the bride-to-be was willing to get a little serious, posting a series of images showing off her REAL ring as well as shots with her fiancé and his daughter, eight-year-old Alice. She added the sweet message, “It’s official. I’m the luckiest happiest girl in the universe!!!!💖 I love you @pattonoswalt I love you Alice Oswalt! #YesYesYes.”
