Oh, Gossip Girl. When Serena and Dan got married, it was one of the best TV weddings of its day. It also happened to be one of the most memorable series finales for that very reason. With Serena’s Blake Lively going on to marry Ryan Reynolds (and have the most perfect marriage to boot), it was high time that Lively’s on-screen husband had some real-life romance of his own. After debuting a totally new look last fall, the former actor and current rocker announced this week that he quietly wed his girlfriend, Domino Kirke, in a most un-Gossip Girl way.
Badgley and Kirke got married at a Manhattan courthouse with only their nearest and dearest in attendance, including Domino’s sisters, actresses Lola and Jemima (Mozart in the Jungle and Girls).
The couple’s wedding seemed like a total New Yorker’s dream, complete with a casual lunch and new-favorite “nude” style wedding cake. Even though the couple were dressed up, the guests were decidedly casual, wearing pants and, in Jemima’s case, jeans.
Totally hip.
