People Are NOT Happy About Apple’s New Earbuds

Apple announcements (like yesterday’s big fall event) always come along with their fair share of excitement and buzz around what’s been done right and what’s been done oh-so-wrong. In the “woo” category is the fact that Apple has just announced that they’ve revamped their earbuds. In the “WTF” category is the fact that these (easy-to-lose) wireless earbuds will cost you a cool $160. That’s more than a little pricier than peeps expected… and they are not happy.
Though the earbuds come with a W1 wireless chip and have five hours of battery life, there are certainly drawbacks. The fact that they’re tiny and wireless have folks convinced they’ll be lost in the blink of an eye, not to mention that they require separate charging AND that you’ll need to shell out shy of $200 to pick ‘em up in the first place (not to mention a few hundred more when they’re inevitably lost).
