Turn Your Tweets Into Art… for $20!
If a picture is worth a thousand words, what do you reckon a piece of art is worth? And what if that art is actually a 140 character Tweet? We’ll let you work through that existential math problem while we pick our Tweet of choice to be laser etched into wood or metal. Forever. Which we can do now thanks to new company #PermanentRetweet.
Visit their website, send ‘em your favorite Tweet and they’ll turn it into art in exchange for one Andrew Jackson.
Since they launched on April 1 and no one has sent us one (yet?) we’re still a little skeptical that they exist, but if you think about it, there are at least three good reasons one might want their RT to echo in the universe forever… a Tweet so funny, RTing it just wasn’t enough? A marriage proposal? A most memorable @mention?
Maybe we’re drunk on the possibilities here, but this and similar services like Memeoirs, which prints your GChats and FB messages into books, does something that we’re down with: turning digital ideas into realities. This isn’t exactly what we had in mind — but we can always use another White Elephant gift idea in our arsenal.
Is this idea crazy or cool? What Tweet would you turn into a perma-plaque?
