Guys Will Actually Want to Wear This Peter Pan Costume
When I asked Sean, our Channel Marketing Associate, if he would model a Peter Pan costume for me, the first thing he asked was “Will I be wearing tights?” Sean was actually game to put on a pair of tights, but I assume that most guys would rather wear some real pants on Halloween. So if you’re a guy whose girlfriend wants to do a Disney-themed couples costume and wants to be Tinkerbell, what can you do? Look no further; here’s a Peter Pan costume tutorial that men will actually want to wear!
For Peter’s dashing outfit, I bought a Port Authority Polo Shirt ($12) from Amazon in lime green. Since Peter’s shirt is more like a tunic, I bought a larger size so it would hang longer. I cut the points into the sleeves and on the bottom hemline. I wrapped brown webbing ribbon around Sean’s hips and tied a Star Power Fake Rubber Knife ($4) in it.
I bought some Abercrombie & Fitch Super Skinny Chino Pants ($68) to go under Peter’s tunic. Sean brought his own brown moccasins, as well as his A-game modeling.
Peter’s classic hat was super easy to make! There are lots of tutorials online that you can check out. For this one, I sewed together two green triangle felt pieces together. When I reversed the fabric, I folded the bottom part up a little and glued down a red feather which I cut from felt. You’re done!
You can fly! You can fly! You can fly!
