Pizza Hut Solves the Cold-Pie Delivery Problem With Ski Jacket Technology
There’s nothing worse than ordering pizza delivery and ending up with a lukewarm, sloppy mess. Pizza Hut has heard your calls and designed the coolest way to keep your pizza hot, guaranteeing you a piping hot pie every single time.
The Kansas-based chain just released an “oven hot delivery system,” which uses an “all-new delivery pouch with 3M Thinsulate Insulation thermal technology,” flipping the script on their traditional delivery box to ensure you get your pizza hot every time.
The brand spent more than two years created the updated delivery system, relying on technology found in ski jackets to keep you warm and dry. It also uses the same materials that keep astronauts warm in space (really!). The company says the pie will arrive 15 degrees hotter than in the past. Plus, the design keeps your food from moving around, which means bye-bye cheesy mess!
And if that’s not hot enough for you, Pizza Hut also designed a limited-edition Pizza Parka, made with many of the same materials as their new delivery system. If you want one, you gotta order a pizza online or through their app by the end of October (which is also National Pizza Month). Or you can also try your hand at winning one by tweeting to @PizzaHut using a flame emoji and a pizza emoji, upping your chances for the coolest, warmest winter jacket ever.
Would you rock a Pizza Parka? Let us know @BritandCo!
