Pretty Little Liars’ Creator and Stars Confirm That a Spin-Off Might Be Happening
Pretty Little Liars — which is hitting Netflix this July while dominating the Teen Choice Awards “first wave” of nominations — is quickly coming to an end, which makes us both wildly excited (we can’t wait for *the* big reveal) and incredibly sad to have to say goodbye. But it now looks like we may not be getting rid of the mischievous gals for good, as the series’ creator and stars have confirmed that a spin-off might be happening.
“It’s not a for sure thing, but there’s some ideas swirling around out there,” series creator I. Marlene King told Entertainment Tonight. “Everybody knows I love this world, I love to play in this world and I love these characters, so it would be fun to keep a few of them moving forward in their lives.”
We have no doubt that fans would completely (and enthusiastically) agree.

When PLL’s stars were asked about the possibility by Vulture, they (perhaps unsurprisingly) all agreed that the potential spin-off should center around Alison (played by Sasha Pieterse), who admitted that her character has plenty of stuff to still work out. She noted that “as much as [Alison’s] grown, she’s still very unstable.”
Lucy Hale further explained the possibility by saying, “I think you have so many places you could go because [Alison has] such a messed up past.” That’s certainly unfortunate for Alison, but you have to admit it’s also great when it comes to spin-off material.
