Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Just Challenged Matthew Perry to a Duel for Beating Him Up As a Kid
We were pretty shocked to learn that the RL Chandler Bing (AKA Matthew Perry), who played a character known for his adorable dorkiness, was once a bully, picking on none other than Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
“My friend Chris Murray, who was also in the fifth grade in Canada, reminded me that we actually beat up Justin Trudeau,” the half-Canadian actor recently revealed to Jimmy Kimmel. “He was excelling in a sport that we weren’t, so it was pure jealousy.”
The two men are all grown up now, and Trudeau is seemingly ready to defend his childhood honor: The 45-year-old all but challenged the Friends star to a duel via Twitter this morning. While it’s likely the Prime Minister was just joking (it IS April Fools’ Day, after all), fans seemed delighted by the prospect, giving the Tweet upwards of 21,000 likes.
I've been giving it some thought, and you know what, who hasn't wanted to punch Chandler? How about a rematch @MatthewPerry?

Some even suggested the two duke it out Nintendo-style for charity.
@JordanUhl @JustinTrudeau @JoeMyGod @MatthewPerry Seriously though, I would pay-per-view to see this… even if they just did a Nintendo Mike Tyson's Punchout. Give $$$ to charity.

Perry isn’t one for social media (his last Tweet was in November), so it mayyyy be a while before he answers Trudeau’s call. Then again, it took upwards of 30 years for Trudeau to seek his revenge, so perhaps we’ll see them hash it out at some point after all!
Who would you bet on in this matchup? Tell us over @BritandCo.
