Prince George’s Favorite Movie Is This Disney Classic
Prince George may be busy at school these days, but when he’s at home with his mom, dad, and sister, the young royal likes to relax in front of the TV (although his parents try to limit his screen time). And one of his very favorite things to pop on is a Disney classic that has some interesting parallels to his own life.
While plenty of mini movie fans are all about Moana and Frozen these days, you’d have to go all the way back to 1994 to find Prince George’s Disney movie of choice.
“He quite likes The Lion King. We’ve watched that a few times,” Prince William told a young boy who asked about George’s favorite show in a clip that was shared to Twitter.

Like Sky News royal correspondent Rhiannon Mills, we’re totally impressed by this kid’s journalistic skills — and we love that little George (a prince who will likely become the king of England one day) loves a movie about a lion prince who can’t wait to grow up to be king. It’s just too perfect!
That’s not the only thing that the young prince likes to watch, though. Like a lot of kiddos his age, he is apparently very into the Octonauts (an adorable show about underwater adventures) and has seen a few of the Lego movies. “Trying to keep him off the television is hard work,” Prince William said with a laugh.
Considering all the great new shows and movies out there, we can’t really blame George for wanting a lot of screen time — especially when it comes to Disney classics. We’d love to see the young prince sing, “I just can’t wait to be kiiiiiiing!”
