Get ready for another royal wedding! After months of speculation and rumors, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are engaged, Clarence House announced on Monday morning.
“His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince Harry to Ms. Meghan Markle,” a statement read. “The wedding will take place in Spring 2018. Further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course.”
According to the statement, the couple became engaged in London earlier this month, and members of both families (including the Queen!) were informed a short time later. The newlyweds will live in Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace.

Per Kensington Palace’s Twitter account, the prince and the Suits actress will pose for a photo shoot this afternoon and do their first joint broadcast interview this evening.
Markle’s parents, Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland, shared their excitement over the engagement news in a statement released by Kensington Palace on Monday. “We are incredibly happy for Meghan and Harry,” the statement read. “Our daughter has always been a kind and loving person. To see her union with Harry, who shares the same qualities, is a source of great joy for us as parents. We wish them a lifetime of happiness and are very excited for their future together.”

Harry’s brother, Prince William, and William’s wife, Duchess Kate, also congratulated the lovebirds: “We are very excited for Harry and Meghan. It has been wonderful getting to know Meghan and to see how happy she and Harry are together.”
Prince Harry was introduced to Markle through mutual friends in London last year. They’ve kept their relationship very private in the months since, making their first appearance as a couple just two months ago, at the Invictus Games in September.
“I can tell you that at the end of the day I think it’s really simple,” Markle told Vanity Fair of their romance. “We’re two people who are really happy and in love. We were very quietly dating for about six months before it became news, and I was working during that whole time, and the only thing that changed was people’s perception. Nothing about me changed. I’m still the same person that I am, and I’ve never defined myself by my relationship.”
Congratulations to the happy couple!
