See the Actors Who Will Play Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in Lifetime’s TV Movie
When news broke that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would be getting their own Lifetime movie, we had one big question: Who would play the royal couple? Now, at last, we have our answer.
Parisa Fitz-Henley (Reva Connors from Jessica Jones) will step in as Markle, with Murray Fraser (The Loch, Victoria) playing her fiancé. The made-for-TV film will tell the tale of the modern romance between the former Suits star and the prince, who’s fifth (soon-to-be sixth) in line to the British throne.
With her dark hair, brown eyes, and warm smile, we definitely see some resemblance between Fitz-Henley and her real-life counterpart. As for Fraser, perhaps he’ll look a little more like the prince if he takes advantage of some red hair dye (for the top of his head AND his beard).
Fans are definitely divided over the casting. Some LOVE who we’ll in see in the role of the future royal.
Parisa is the PERFECT choice for Meghan!! @ParisaFH

I am so excited! The actress who to play Meghan is pretty, I think she’ll do a good job.

OMG! I love @ParisaFH so much. Such a wonderful actress and lovely soul. A TV series and now she's marrying #PrinceHarry – so jealous. :) Congrats on the movie, my love. You're already a Princess…a Queen… to me. #HarryandMeghan @lifetimetv @VanityFair https://t.co/UGiX8BV812

But others aren’t sure about the prince.
Is he going to do a David Tennant and dye his hair ginger?

Murray Fraser is certainly handsome enough but he also has a strong Scottish accent if I recall, so are we in for a gloriously awful upper class English accent?

And a few people still can’t help thinking about another (now-former) actress who could play Meghan Markle — Meghan Markle herself.
Can Meghan Markle play Meghan Markle?

Thoughts: Murray Fraser looks more like Prince William, and why not let Meghan Markle play Meghan Markle? https://t.co/JMlm54AvUB

While there’s no premiere date yet for Harry & Meghan: The Royal Love Story, the movie will show us how the two were first set up, the way they managed to keep their relationship under wraps for so long, and (of course) their engagement. It will also depict the sudden and intense media scrutiny that Markle experienced as a result of their unlikely union.
With the couple set to say their vows on May 19, we have to wonder if the Lifetime movie will drop anywhere near the royal wedding.
Which stars would you have cast as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle? Let us know @BritandCo!
