Prince William Just Made the Most Relatable Confession About Parenting
Prince William (AKA our own real-life Disney prince) has been an open book as of late. First, he comforted a young boy who was grieving over the loss of his mother by sharing his own experiences and feelings. Now, he’s giving parents everywhere a reason to breathe a sigh of relief, because he just admitted, on-air no less, that being a parent? It’s hard, man.
On a talk show appearance in Vietnam, he was asked what it was like raising Prince George (have you SEEN his latest portrait?) and Princess Charlotte with Kate, and the prince had some surprisingly candid insight.
“There’s wonderful highs and wonderful lows,” he said. “It’s been quite a challenge for me personally. I’m very lucky in the support I have from Catherine, she’s an amazing mother and a fantastic wife.”
Awwww, that’s really sweet! But he didn’t stop there.
“…I’ve struggled at times,” he said. “The alteration from being a single, independent man to going into marriage and then having children is life-changing.” How so? Well, he worries about the future more, for one. “I adore my children very much, and I’ve learned a lot about myself and about family just from having my own children. It’s amazing how much you pick up just in those moments.”
Particularly challenging for Wills? Having a little girl, since he never had one around growing up. Where Prince George is a “little rascal” sometimes (we can TOTALLY see it!), he says Princess Charlotte is “a very different dynamic,” and that’s he’s still learning.
Aren’t we all, Prince William. Aren’t we all.
